Throughout the episode, he realizes the downsides of being strictly digital.

The following non-essential section is long, and may make scrolling and or performance worse.

Scott Wozniak: Hey all, Scott here! Listen - I hate things.. and that includes clutter. Clutter scares the PISS outta me.. and I'm ready to get it outta my life A-S-A-P and quickly-

[He turns to look at the items on his desk and recoils]

Scott: -JESUS! ..You see, this is what I'm talkin' about! The whole concrete matter thing has been a fad for eons, and I'm ready to call it quits.

[He throws everything off his desk onto the floor. It then cuts to him standing in front of his game shelves with a trash bag]

Scott: I'm strictly living an all-digital lifestyle from this moment forward. I recently got rid of all my paper, and I'm currently in the process of converting all my movies, music, photos, clothes, water, trees and documents to a hard drive.

And this digitalization o' my life extends to my video game collection as well-

[He grabs some of the PS4 games from a shelf and puts them into the trash bag]

Scott: -Just the mere THOUGHT-

[He goes to grab another stack of games]

Scott: ..of owning all these games physically makes me want to give myself a good ol fist shakin'.

[He shakes his fist]

Scott: Ah- it's AMAZING what it'll be like when I own all-

[He puts another stack of games into the bag]

Scott: -these games digitally - 'ugh'- convenience alert!

[He shakes his fist again]

Scott: ..And to think I used to do this:

[Deep, dramatic music plays as a clip, edited to be deep red and covered in fire, is shown of Scott walking over to his TV and PS4 with a game box. He puts the game into the PS4 and puts the box down before sitting and picking up a controller. He waits for the disk to be read and appear on the menu before opening the game. It cuts back to Scott, holding another stack of games to put in the trash bag]

Scott: JESUS, NO! What do I look like, somebody who has time?! That was the old me, new me.. only buys games digitally from now on.

[It cuts to Scott sitting in the corner of his room. He has no furniture except for his TV and PS4, which are on the floor]

Scott: After getting rid of all unneeded physical items, I can now definitively say... THIS.. is what I'm talkin' about.

Scott: Alright, so let me start the digital renaissance. What game will I download first? Well, I love Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, so I'm gonna wanna play that again.

[He opens the game on the the store]

Scott: Alright.. $29.99 is definitely a bit steep for a game I bought physically for twenty dollars.. two years ago and that I can still buy physically for.. twenty dollars or less.

..Alright- well, maybe I should wait until I see a game I can get for the same price I bought for it physically or maybe even cheaper. In the meantime, I can play these games I downloaded on PlayStation Plus.

Well, I have a hankering for Super Meat Boy.

[He opens the game, which begins to boot up before switching to a notice that says "Cannot use the content. Your license has expired. To use the content, purchase it from PlayStation Store."]

Scott: Oh- well that's a hearty dose of disappointing. I.. don't own these games; I can only play them while my PS Plus membership is active.

Totally what-ever. It doesn't matter that my hard drive is basically full and I can't get games for cheaper digitally. What I CAN do is sign up for a streaming service - that being PlayStation Now. I signed up for a free trial a while back and it worked.. decently well. Back then, Most o' the games had different pricing an' a game like Deus Ex: Human Revolution will cost thirty dollars to rent for ninety days.. while you could go out and buy a retail copy for five dollars used.

Now, if you excuse me before I reenact what checking the prices of PlayStation Now was like back in 2015, I need to take a hearty gulp outta my hourly bottle o' water.

[He takes a drink from a water bottle. It cuts to show the old PlayStation Now prices. It cuts back to Scott who does a spit-take. He holds up the bottle to look at the label]

Scott: Gah- that's such tart water - and what gross prices.

Scott: Now the service is much like Netflix as you pay an annual fee and you get access to hundreds of games. ..Much better, in my opinion, but- let's be honest here- ..streaming doesn't play well with a lot o' games.

I originally played Pac-Man Championship Edition DX on the service, and it's really unenjoyable through streaming. The game requires pretty quick reactions, but with an online connection being required.. that brings lag into play and it ends up kind of ruining the game.

Digital games have recently disappointed almost every organ in my body, which is... unfortunate. ..The prices are generally higher than physical games.. th-the storage space on these consoles are limited.. and even if you buy an external hard drive, you can't really put that many games on it - even a two terabyte hard drive will fill up eventually because new games are so big.

You can't even trade in the games and.. you don't even technically own the games! You have a license to run the software.. but you don't.. own it like you do with a physical copy of a game- you can do whatever you want after you buy it.'

That's not to say you're wrong if you like digital games- the convenience factor is definitely there, it's just.. in my opinion, I just see much more benefits to owning physical games.

But, we haven't tested out one more factor - download speed. So, we're gonna purchase Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection on the PlayStation Store.. see how long it takes to download, and we're gonna go to GameStop and buy the exact same game there.. and bring it back home and see which one.. takes longer.

[It cuts to Scott standing over his TV. He starts downloading the game and throws his controller down, running out of the room]

[It then cuts to show a shot of driving down a road. It cuts back to the TV, which shows the download progressing, with the text "20x Speed" in the bottom right corner. It cuts back to a different shot of driving down a road. It cuts back to the TV again. It cuts back to the driving, now at a main street, before cutting back to the TV again]

[It cuts to a shot from outside a GameStop, which zooms in to the storefront. It cuts again and Scott is shown walking out of the GameStop towards the camera with a game box in his hand. It cuts to Scott sitting in the inside of his car. He addresses the camera and holds up the game]

Scott: Hey guys! Don't mind me - just a member of the economic stimulation squad here!

[He smiles and nods. It cuts back to the TV. The game finishes downloading and boots up. Scott is shown jogging into the room. He looks at the TV]

Scott: Well, the download was faster than buying the game physically, and I can totally assure you that I am completely alive inside!

[He looks depressingly at the TV. He holds up the game box in front of the TV and opens it, looking between the game disc and the digital version of the game on the TV. He moves the game case down]

Scott: [whispering] What have I done?

[Wipes to blue. Breakout plays]

[End screen]
